NOTES:   Grades have been posted on Skyward.  If you need help accessing your child's grades, please check with the guidance office. Please make sure your child has a 3-ring notebook that is just for social studies materials. Students applying for the Hiratsuka Exchange Trip should have all materials into Dr. Hyler no later than 3:20 on Monday, November 16. White House Decision Center - Nov. 16 or 17.  The cost of the trip, materials, and simulation at the WHDC is $15.  A letter will soon be given kids and parents in October.  This money will be due by Monday, Oct. 26.  Students will be given the WHDC manual.  We will be doing four modules from this manual prior to our trip.

ASSIGNMENT: WHDC $15 is now due for the coming field trip. 1-Most classes have been assigned pages 6, 7, and 8 in the WHDC book.  These pages covered the 7 roles of the President and assigning these roles to an actual daily schedule of Truman's from 1950. 3-Module 1 also included reviews of situations actually faced by Truman and how he should handle each situation from the frame of reference of these 7 roles. 2-Odd classes picked their top three choices for roles to play the day of the trip. 3-Most classes picked the news corespondent they would be for news conferences. 4-We will continue through the WHDC book next week.
